Lee Hindin obtained a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, majoring in finance, as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration at James Madison University. He has also enjoyed graduate classes at Georgetown University. After graduating, Lee immediately began his career as an entrepreneur by co-founding Chicken Out Rotisserie. The chain grew to a 35 unit fast casual chain, which was widely considered a leader and innovator in the fast casual segment by industry experts such as Technomics. Mr. Hindin designed, developed, and managed Chicken Out’s company owned store, franchise, and licensing program during his 15-year tenure as President and CEO.
Mr. Hindin received the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his leadership and innovation as CEO of Chicken Out Rotisserie. In 2002 he sold his controlling interest to a Private Equity Firm for $21M. Since then he has focused on real estate development and the founding and expansion of Naked Pizza, an international healthy pizza franchise chain. Mr. Hindin co-founded the Naked Pizza Independent Franchise Association. He serves as the association’s chairman. Naked Pizza is an international chain, owned by The Mark Cuban Companies, Inc. Furthermore; Mr. Hindin served as a key consultant to the founders of Naked Pizza in the development of their national and international franchise system and co-owned and operated the Company’s most successful franchise territory in Washington DC.
Mr. Hindin has founded and co-founded several multi-million dollar real estate projects, including the award winning Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Park City, financed by Goldman Sachs, and has managed these projects from conception to completion. His development experience encompasses markets such as single family, multi-family, commercial and residential real estate, restaurants, spas, as well as co-founding and designing the first known fully web-based point of sale platform.
In addition to his for profit endeavors, Mr. Hindin has raised several million dollars for charitable organizations personally and through the various companies he has founded. His philanthropic activities have been recognized through various awards and recognitions throughout his career.
Though Mr. Hindin has been a life long entrepreneur, his top priority is being a father, and his greatest joy is spending time with his 2 children and his 3 rescue dogs. When time permits he also enjoys hobbies such as skiing, fly-fishing, and landscape photography.
